Our mission
The mission of the Center for Values in International Development is to raise awareness of secular moral and ethical parameters, opportunities, challenges and dilemmas, and to strengthen secular values-based analysis and decision-making among international relief and development donors, policy-makers, and practitioners.
Development ethics has a dual mission: to render the economy more human and to keep hope alive in the face of the seeming impossibility of achieving human development for all.
