UNDP Future of Development Conversation

Nov 12 at 12pm Eastern (UTC-5)

UNDP has the honor of hosting Professor Amartya Sen—who has introduced the concept of development as human freedom—for our inaugural UNDP Future of Development conversation.

Prof. Amartya Sen's work was paramount in the formulation of the annual Human Development Report published by the UNDP, which now marks its 30th anniversary. Sen has introduced the concept of development as human freedom, contributed to expanding the international community’s thinking on development going beyond economic measures, to ways of empowering people to realize their full potential.

We are happy that you are joining the conversation, which is part of the series of conversations where we bridge the past, the here and now, and the future of development that we want to shape.
